High quality scans are made from slides and negatives which can be fully restored digitally. The file is then stored on a CD-ROM. At any time original copies can be recorded back to film. The quality is often better due to sharpening , colorcast removal, and contrast adjustments. Scans can be stored in 24 or 48 bit color.

Rare and timeless images and collections can be made archival.

Image-files can be collected in databases or better called albums. Albums can be set up to contain descriptions and other topics which can be cross-referenced and sorted. Up to 60,000 images can be stored per album.
